Day 1: Arrive Anchorage, Alaska
Upon arrival at the Anchorage International Airport you will be met by a private driver and transferred to your accommodations located in the heart of downtown Anchorage.Overnight Accommodations: Hotel Captain Cook, junior suite
Day 2: Fly to Redoubt Bay Lodge / Bear Viewing & Activities
You will transfer to nearby Lake Hood to board a floatplane for your scenic flight to Redoubt Bay Lodge. “Weather Permitting” you may see views of Mt. McKinley, Mt. Foraker, Mt. Hunter and spectacular views of Cook Inlet and the western edge of the Kenai Peninsula. At Redoubt Bay Lodge, you’ll have an opportunity to view bears in a safe and comfortable environment by traveling in a pontoon boat. You will motor to a small cove where the salmon are inbound from the sea making their way to the near by creek and that is where you will find the bears.A resident bear population inhabits the Redoubt Bay Lodge area, one of the densest bear populations in the state. You’ll have the opportunity to see bears come to the waters to fish for salmon. Other activities to enjoy are sport fishing for salmon, kayaking around the lakes, hiking and enjoying the natural beauty of the Redoubt Bay Critical Habitat area.

Day 3: Full Day of Activities at Redoubt Bay Lodge
Experience a full-day of activities such as sport fishing for salmon, kayaking around the lakes, hiking and enjoying the natural beauty of the Redoubt Bay Critical Habitat area.Bears Den Trail: A short, steep and scenic trail of only a few miles in length. It passes by an active beaver pond and terminates at a winter hibernating den for local bears.
Bog Walk Trail: Imagine bouncing upon a five-foot thick mat of living plant material! You will get to identify unique and unusual plant species, including the carnivorous Sundew and Arctic cotton.
Marten Lake Game Trail: Take a short hike back to Marten Lake, hop in a canoe and glide across the clear Marten Lake to a game trail that offers a well-traveled path into Lake Clark National Park
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Appetizers, Dinner.
Enjoy an optional extended flightseeing excursion to view volcanoes, lakes and wildlife from a bird's eye view on a scenic 2-hour aerial journey departing directly from the lodge. Lake Clark National Park & Preserve was created to protect scenic beauty (volcanoes, glaciers, wild rivers and waterfalls), populations of fish and wildlife, watersheds essential for red salmon and the traditional lifestyle of local residents. Lake Clark's spectacular scenery provides a true wilderness experience for those who visit.
Day 4: Depart Redoubt Bay Lodge / Board Your Yacht / or Travel Home
After a hearty breakfast at the lodge you will fly to Anchorage on a scenic floatplane journey arriving at Lake Hood, near the Anchorage International Airport. From Lake Hood you can pursue the following transfer options.- Transfer to the Anchorage International Airport to connect with departing flight home.
- Transfer to the Hotel Captain Cook for an additional nights’ stay.
- Transfer to the Anchorage International Airport to connect with a departing flight to Juneau/Sitka/Price Rupert to board American Safari Yacht
