SEATTLE, WA – It’s not Christmas in July, but nevertheless American Safari Cruises is in the gift-giving mood, offering some value-added specials for holiday travel on its luxury mega-yachts in Mexico and Hawaii.

For the eight-day, seven-night Dec. 16 sailing of the 120-foot, 22-guest Safari Quest between Loreto and La Paz in Mexico’s Sea of Cortés, the company is including a free pre-cruise overnight (Dec. 15) at the romantic, hacienda-like Posada de Las Flores hotel in colonial Loreto. The overnight is valued at $200 and includes a continental breakfast and transfers. Per-person, double occupancy price for an individual stateroom on Dec. 16 begins at $4,695 and for Dec. 23 and 30, $5,495.

The yacht’s small guest contingent makes it suitable for a family to charter the entire vessel for a unique holiday experience. The full-yacht charter fare for up to 22 guests for Dec. 16 is $111,895 and for the Dec. 23 or Dec. 30 departures is $127,895. Charters include all fuel, food, premium spirits, crew and equipment and are fully customizable. The season runs Nov.23, 2008, to March 22, 2009.

Travelers on American Safari’s new eight-day, seven-night inter-island Hawaii holiday cruises Dec. 19 and 27 aboard the 145-foot, 36-guest Safari Explorer will qualify for a special $250 per person travel credit. A number of individual staterooms are still available on the Dec. 19 inaugural cruise, which includes a free extra day of cruising. The itinerary between the Big Island and Maui includes visits to Molokai and Lanai, a helicopter ride over Volcanoes National Park, and opportunities to snorkel, dive, hike and follow wildlife. Individual staterooms for the holiday departures begin at $4,895 per person, double occupancy; the private charter rate is $209,995. The season runs through May 9, 2009.
