American Safari Cruises
adds new management staff.

SEATTLE, WA. – American Safari Cruises has added two new managers to the growing staff. New to the company are Tom DeMent, marketing and Web manager, and Tamara Horine, sales manager. Both have extensive experience in the small-ship industry.

“We’re expanding in every way,” says Tim Jacox, vice president of sales and marketing. “New staff, new office, and then we anticipate expanding our fleet in the near future.”

Tom comes to American Safari Cruises from Brennan Vacations, Seattle, where he was director of marketing and creative design. Prior, he was manager of marketing services at Seattle-based Cruise West.

Tamara most recently was a sales consultant for Alaska Unusual on Whidbey Island. Her background includes reservations manager at Glacier Bay Cruise Line in Seattle, assistant manager of hotel operations at Bristol Bay Lodge, Alaska, and hotel manager at Cruise West.

The company owns and opereates three luxury yachts, the 120-foot, 22-guest Safari Quest, the 112-foot, 12-guest Safari Escape and the 105-foot, 12-guest Safari Spirit. Present itineraries include Alaska’s Inside Passage, Mexico’s Sea of Cortés, the Pacific Northwest and Columbia and Snake rivers.
